A note from me …
I can’t remember what drew me to my first yoga class in the late 80s in London, but I can remember the feeling of ‘coming home’ and the deep peace it gave me. From the 90s onward I continued to practice and explore Buddhist teachings, which led me to training in acupuncture and massage. I then came to Oxford in the late 90s to escape the London PR scene, and fell in love with Ashtanga, which became my main practice for many years. I decided to add to my acupuncture skills with an Osteopathy degree, and then yoga-teacher training. Along the way I also fell for my northern yoga lad, and we had our two boys. Over the years my own yoga practice has become more slow-flow, restorative and meditation based. My journey brings me to today and working in the specialism I love – women, babies, pregnancy and childbirth.
EXCELLENT Based on 51 reviews Ruth Farnan26/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These classes are the best thing I’ve done during pregnancy and postnatal to support healthy and positive pregnancy, recovery and baby bonding. Sara creates the most welcoming and inclusive space and it has been so valuable in many ways; meeting other local expecting/new mamas, sharing experiences and tips, and of course the tailored yoga sessions which support all abilities, stages and any ailments or issues. My little one has a lot of fun too and we regularly use stretches, moves and songs we’ve learnt in the sessions. Honestly cannot recommend highly enough laura oxby25/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Warm welcoming atmosphere for all abilities and experiences, would definitely recommend. Philippa Brodie24/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sara is highly recommendable. I absolutely loved going to her pregnancy yoga - it was safe and fun, and really helped make my second pregnancy feel special. When life is busy with a toddler, the pregnancy yoga slowed everything down and gave me some me (and baby) time and allowed me to really bond with baby. Equally, the baby yoga has given me some very special memories with both my babies, who both loved Sara’s fun, restorative and relaxing sessions. Lastly, I cannot recommend her massages enough either. They got me through some really tricky spots during and after labour. Thank you for being the best at everything you do, Sara! She's very understanding and knows how to adapt exercises if needs be. This meant I wasn't at all left out when I had terrible PGP or when my youngest had hip dysplasia. Her birth preparation class also set me up well with strategies for a difficult birth with my first and introduced me to a couple my husband and I became friends with. I cannot recommend her services enough! Rosalind Hill19/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve attended pregnancy yoga and had a treatment with Sara and both were so amazing. Pregnancy yoga gave me a community on the run up to having my second child and gave me the perfect calm space away from the chaos of toddler life. The massage I had at 40 weeks was amazing- unlike so many other massages it felt like it made a real difference to how my joints and muscles were feeling as well as being so relaxing. Would recommend any mama flow session/treatment! Agnieszka Trzebiatowska17/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sarah's classes are amazing. Sara listens, to you and to your body. Sara works with you to make treatments a positive, calm, welcoming and comfortable experience. I highly recommend Sara for therapeutic treatments and also have friends who have benefitted from her pregnancy and postnatal support too. The class is so relaxed and inclusive, I loved being in a room with lots of other pregnant women and sharing experiences. The yoga is great for mobility, mental health and birth preparation ( I went into labour the morning after my last class!) She's very experienced and knowledgable and so generous with her time and knowledge. I also recommend her birth preparation and yoga classes too :) Svea Cheeseman12/06/2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend Sara more highly! Pregnancy yoga, baby yoga, massage, birth preparation class, osteopathy and acupuncture! I have done it all and I love it all! We have had a traumatizing and dramatic birth with our first child and went to her for a private birth preparation class for the second. It made such a huge difference. We felt calm and well prepared and even my husband, who is an introvert and doesn’t like workshops, really enjoyed it. Her garden studio is so lovely and her group sessions informative and social!
