The postnatal period can be one of great joy and great challenges. It is vitally important for you to look after yourself in this moment for your future health, and the wellbeing of your baby.

From those who had straightforward births to those who had lots of interventions and trauma, these sessions are here to help you heal.

 A combination of osteopathic techniques, massage, moxa or ‘mother warming’ as required are used. These sessions are offered to help you move towards your pre-pregnancy state, or become even better than before!  Whatever stage of motherhood you are in, it is never too late to re-establish strength and vitality.

C-section birth recovery

Around 40% of all births in the UK are by C-section. It is MAJOR abdominal surgery, and we need to recovery slowly and safely. Recovery is challenging for many women and we need a careful approach to ensure complete healing. The focus is on restoring full function of abdominal and pelvic muscular systems.

These are targeted sessions to help you recover from surgery so you can re-establish strength and a pain free post-natal period. Massage, osteopathic techniques, acupuncture, and yoga practices are offered to help you heal and strengthen. Scar tissue and abdominal massage are part of this nurturing treatment. No matter how long ago your C-section birth was it is never too late to feel better.

Postnatal tummy repair, diastasis recti

Tummy muscle separation actually happens in all pregnancies as your abdomen changes shape to accommodate the growing uterus. Sometimes the separation happens so widely that there is a visible bulge, other times it is more subtle.  Most bodies heal well after childbirth, but some may need a bit more help.

No matter how long ago you had your baby you can restore your tummy to feel even better than before. In the session a combination of massage, osteopathic techniques, acupuncture and yoga, help you reclaim your abdomen and pelvic floor and feel strong again.

Pelvic floor recovery

After having a baby, even if it was a c-section birth, your pelvic floor may not be feeling as strong as before. You may be experiencing bladder weakness and incontinence, pelvic prolapse, or feeling pain and discomfort. A weak or dysfunctional pelvic floor can have a huge impact on your whole body and sense of wellbeing, both now and in the future.

These sessions offer osteopathic techniques and massage to help rebalance your body, along with tried-and-tested yoga and breath work to power up your core and pelvic floor.
